Defective Uniforms - Report it!

SEE A DEFECT? REPORT IT.

If your uniform pants have broken zippers, premature fading, stitching failures, or other possible manufacturing defects, please report them.

TSA and AFGE can raise concerns with the uniform vendor, but documentation matters. Reports from the workforce provide the evidence needed to identify patterns and hold the vendor accountable when products may not be meeting contract requirements.

Right now, TSA has received only 12 complaints through the TSA iShare reporting process. If hundreds of officers are experiencing problems but only a handful report them, the official record does not reflect the true scope of the issue.

AFGE Local 1260 is asking officers to participate and document every legitimate defect. Don't assume someone else has already reported the same problem. Multiple reports help establish that an issue is widespread rather than isolated.

For defective pants, officers should also contact Image Authority for a warranty review. Have your order information available and, when emailing, include photographs of the defect.

If there is a problem, report it. Documentation creates accountability.
